US Ambassador's Residence in Luxembourg

MEP Upgrade

The technical upgrade of the historical ambassador’s residence took place during a very compact period, starting with a mechanical failure causing damage to the historical representative rooms of the main floor. From June to August 2010, a complete bidding document for a design-bid-build project contract was developed. Award took place in September 2010, and the construction began in late November. Construction was completed in April 2011.

The project's scope consisted in the full replacement of electrical wiring and panels, full replacement of domestic water system, and complete new interiors of three bathrooms and one powder room, as well as the full restoration of the historical representation rooms. The work was contracted as a task order within the Department of State IDIQ. For this successful project, Hollingsworth Pack was nominated for Small Business Contractor of the Year by CO Raymond Bouford and COR Douglas Woods.
