A topping-out ceremony was held at the site of the new Danish Embassy in New Delhi. The project milestone was reached on 10 May, when the concrete was placed for the rooftop water tank.
The celebration, which took place in the evening of 11 May, was attended by the construction crews, neighboring ambassadors, the Icelandic Ambassador H.E. Mr. Thorir Ibsen, and staff from the Royal Danish Embassy. The celebration was hosted by the Danish Ambassador to India Mr. Peter Taksøe-Jensen.
In addition to Ambassador Taksøe-Jensen, Scott Hollingsworth of Hollingsworth Pack and Avtar Saini of Ahluwalia congratulated the construction team.
The project is being constructed by Ahluwalia Contracts India Ltd of New Delhi.
Rejsegildet for den nye Kongelige Danske Ambassade i Indien blev afholdt, efter at entreprenøren færdiggjorde bygningens højeste betonstøbning d. 10. maj.
