Hollingsworth Pack Austin has completed schematic design of an existing dormitory building at the Thule Air Base in Greenland. We are providing seismic analysis and design for a retrofit of the existing steel framed structure constructed in 1960 per ASCE 41, and designing a new building addition. Aside from its high wind and seismic loading, the project site presents unique challenges including design of shallow foundations bearing into permafrost.
