Preparation of bridging documents for the design-build solicitation of a new police station in the Martissant district.

Preparation of bridging documents for the design-build solicitation of a renovation and additions to the police station in Saint Marc located adjacent to the courthouse. It includes both normal police units and riot police.

The original task order consisted of preparing 35% design-build bridging documents, but as the work progressed, the decision was made to modify the contract, first to 60% design documents, and finally to design-bid-build 100% design documentation with IFC documents (Issued for Construction) as the final contract documentation

The design – build project was awarded to Adserballe & Knudsen, a Danish contractor, with Hollingsworth Pack as the prime consultant. The project is just starting the second year of the construction phase. Design was completed in the spring of 2018 and construction started in 2019. The project is an example of a DoD design-build contract, with Hollingsworth Pack providing prime design services. Austin staff provided Structural and MEP engineering services, including the design of all structural systems, and support to regional MEP engineers.

The Department of State contracted Hollingsworth Pack to assist in the reconstruction of the infrastructure to reestablish the rule of law in Haiti, following the 2010 earthquake. The project in Ft. Liberté was to develop tender documents for a new correctional facility in the outskirts of Ft. Liberté.
