The Oaks at Slaughter

Structural engineering included the design of two new single-story commercial retail buildings totaling 25,500 square feet, conventionally steel-framed with a combination of tilt-up concrete wall panels, CMU and cold-formed metal framed exterior walls. In order to save two heritage live oak trees, drilled pier supported retaining walls were integrated into the building foundations and elevated sidewalks designed to suspend above the tree critical root zones.

Electrical and plumbing engineering included the design of two new single-story commercial retail buildings totaling 25,500 square feet.  Electrical, natural gas, and domestic water service sizing and layout based on proposed future building tenant make-up. Sanitary/grease waste pipe sizing and layout, and grease interceptor sizing for future tenants.  Interior telecom and electrical service conduits provided to tenant lease demising walls. Continued MEP support during construction includes the review of all proposed tenant improvement plans for compliance with base building layout and standards.
