Petit Goâve Prison

New construction of a 150 inmate all-male prison.

High security compound on a budget. We acted as prime consultant, handled project management and provided professional design services for architecture, landscape architecture and all engineering.

Preparation of bridging documents for the design/build solicitation of a new correctional facility in Petit-Goâve. The 35% documents were prepared and the project solicited in the late Spring of 2013. Construction and Title II services have extended beyond this period.

The facility is located adjacent to an existing police station. The multi-story building has been designed as a compact unit in the limited space available. Consideration has been given to storm surges, the neighboring property use, and the co-existence with the police station. It will provide safe, secure housing for 150 males; it includes guard towers, entry control points, sally ports, and a self-sufficient compound for electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire and sewer systems.

The development of the bridging documents took place in a fast track schedule, including a full site survey and geotechnical study. Hollingsworth Pack's contract includes review of 90% and 100% design/build documents to ensure quality control and conformance with the bridging documents.
