New construction of a two-story mixed use building with retail, restaurant and grocery tenants of approximately 27,000 square feet below roof. The building will be constructed on a highly-sloped site with views of the Texas Hill Country, requiring cast-in-place concrete retaining walls surrounding the lower level on three sides, and support of the resulting large unbalanced soil pressure with concrete shear walls. The building is otherwise conventionally steel-framed with a composite beam and concrete floor slab system supported on drilled concrete pier foundations. Hollingsworth Pack Austin and Denver are performing structural engineering.
