Denver Public Schools

Hollingsworth Pack partnered with Ellipsis Construction on a design-build cooling project for Denver Public Schools at Horace Mann Elementary. The scope involved upgrading an existing classroom to support new HVAC equipment within the constraints of an older structure.

Our Denver office engineered a double loose lintel system to accommodate new penetrations through existing CMU and brick veneer. This approach maintained the structural integrity of the building while allowing for the installation of new mechanical systems.

The project required close coordination with the contractor and design team to address existing conditions and maintain the schedule. The result is a fully upgraded classroom with reliable heating and cooling to support year-round use.
